Shameful Act

I am a Bengali gal but still I don't know why my bengali speaking is not so good like my family and other bengali frends. So what if my bengali is not good, by heart I am a hardcore bongster. I can debate on my Kolkata for the whole day, on its culture, we people, every thing related to my Kolkata. I proud of being a bengali gal and always love to feel.

Most pity to my bengal that it has to suffer from strikes every other week or say day, its the main drawback which we people hate but still our government is doing all good to ignore it. Now since life is heading very fast so this tradition is likely to be vanish soon thats all we believe; not because government is with us just because we are loosing our patience. But what happened on last Wednesday is very very shameful and our Buddhadeb government did nothing and stood as a looser and shameless. That day I was about to attend a meeting at ITC hotel but the last very moment it cancelled due to some reason so sit back and was watching TV and on tunning to news channel I was shocked, a bandh called by All India Minority Forum( AIMF ) turned to riot. The AIMF and Furfurasharif Muzadeddia Anath Foundation, which called for 'paralysing' the state for three hours from 9.00 am today, resorted to road blocks in some other districts including Howrah, North 24 Parganas and South 24 Parganas. but Activists of AIMF protesting the violence in Nandigram suddenly indulged in brickbatting, blocked roads. The police used batons and teargas to disperse the protesters.Several policemen including Deputy Commissioner of Police (south) Jawed Shamim was injured when the police tried to lift the blockade on the arterial AJC Bose Road. Rapid Action Force (RAF) personnel swung into action after the police failed to control the mob, hundreds of whom pelted stones and empty glass bottles from lanes and bylanes. At around 1:30 pm two Government vehicles were attacked near Bamboo Villa, Ripon Street and two set on fire near No 4 bridge. Traffic is standstill around Sealdah, Moulali Crossing, No 4 Bridge, Ballygunge Circular Road, Theatre Road , Park Street. No Schools are letting their students out at this hour. Curfew has been called at six disturbed pockets and army has been brought in to control the situation. The army was called in to restore peace at Park Circus in Calcutta over a bandh declared by the All India Minority Forum( AIMF ) on Nandigram issue.a long battle began between rioters and policemen — one step forward for one, two steps back for the other, soft-drink bottles and tubelights hurled by one, teargas shells launched by the other — with the Ripon Street-AJC Bose Road belt emerging as the capital of chaos. As thick black smoke billowed from the burning cars, pedestrians were instructed to hold their hands high above their heads as they walked down the thoroughfare.
